Bashima Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Her research focuses on sustainable intelligent systems, energy-efficient AI for audio/speech, TinyML for edge devices, and AI-driven behavioral health outcomes. She earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2021) and a BSc from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
