Barış DEMİRBAY

Dr. Barış Demirbay is a full-time instructor and researcher in the Department of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at Özyeğin University, where he teaches physics courses in the Faculty of Engineering's undergraduate programs. He holds a B.Sc. (2015) and M.Sc. (2017) in Physics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a Ph.D. (2023) in Experimental Biomolecular Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Özyeğin, he conducted research as a doctoral student at Sabancı University and KTH, where he later served as a short-term research engineer.

Research Focus: Dr. Demirbay's interdisciplinary work spans experimental/theoretical biomolecular physics, fluorescence-based imaging, and photophysics. Key areas include:

• Quantum biophotonics and photophysics of fluorophores
• Development of microfluidic systems and spectroscopic techniques
• Polymer materials science
• Machine learning applications in biomolecular studies

His research integrates advanced imaging methodologies with computational modeling to study biomolecular interactions.
