Bartomeu Fluxa Cabrer

Bartomeu Fluxa Cabrer is an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) with additional roles as Lecturer in UIB's Project Management postgraduate program and Collaborator Lecturer at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He maintains parallel industry leadership as PMO Senior Consultant and PM Practice Leader at CGI.

His academic work focuses on Software Engineering and Software Quality education across multiple UIB engineering programs. Research interests center on:

• Software process improvement and capability maturity models
• Implementation of ISO standards (Quality, Information Security)
• IT project control systems and quality management
• Certification frameworks in technology organizations

He collaborates with the MiProSoft research group investigating software project innovation. Industry expertise since 2002 spans project control systems, ISO standard evolution, process measurement, and corporate information systems management.
