Barry McCrea is the Donald R. Keough Family Professor of Irish Studies and Professor of English at the University of Notre Dame, concurrently holding roles in Romance Languages and Literatures and Irish Language and Literature. He specializes in comparative literature, modernism, and Irish literature, with notable works like Languages of the Night and In the Company of Strangers. His research bridges European, Latin American, and Irish literary traditions.
