Research Interests: Aspray's work bridges philosophical theology, ethics, and refugee studies. His scholarship explores Ricœur's metaphysics, post-Kantian realism, liturgical phenomenology, and doctrinal development through hermeneutics. He examines the intersection of finitude/infinitude, theological implications of Jesus as a refugee, and the role of negative certainty in philosophical systems.
Key Trends: His recent articles address refugee ethics (2024), metaphysical theology (2020), and interdisciplinary approaches to religious education (2023). Work spans biblical exegesis, phenomenological anthropology, and theological responses to modern challenges.
Publications: Notable works include his 2022 book Ricœur at the Limits of Philosophy, and articles in Modern Theology, International Journal of Philosophy and Theology, and Open Theology. His 2020 Crossing article debates Ricœurian metaphysics through Heideggerian and Thomistic frameworks.
