Prof. Barbaros Erhan Çil is a faculty member in the Department of Radiology at Koç University Hospital and previously at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. He has held academic positions since 2000, including Professor (2012–present), Associate Professor (2006–2012), and Assistant Professor (2005–2006).
- Education: Medical Education (1995) and Radiology Residency (1996–2000) at Hacettepe University; Clinical Fellowship in Interventional Radiology (2001–2002) at Indiana University-Purdue University School of Medicine.
Clinical Interests: His work focuses on interventional oncology, transarterial radioembolization/chemoembolization, angiography/stent/balloon procedures, varicose vein treatment, organ/tissue biopsies, and drainage techniques. This aligns with advanced applications of radiology in minimally invasive diagnostics and therapies.
Professional Affiliations: Member of Turkish Society of Radiology, Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology, European Society of Radiology, and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).
Honors: Elected as Fellow member of CIRSE (2012). He has served as section editor for the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology journal since 2014.
