Barbara Schramkowski

Prof. Dr. Barbara Schramkowski is a full-time Professor at the Dual University Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Villingen-Schwenningen, serving as Head of the Social Work - Youth, Family and Social Welfare program since 2018. Her work integrates social work theory and practice with a focus on socio-ecological transformation, climate justice, and migration societies.

• Education: Diploma in Social Pedagogy (Katholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg, 1996-2001)
• PhD: 'Perspectives of young adults with migration backgrounds on integration' (Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, 2003-2006)

Her research emphasizes intersectional approaches to social inequality, gender as a power relation, and anti-discrimination frameworks. She leads climate justice initiatives in social work and collaborates internationally on ecological-social sustainability.
