Dr. Barbara Pinchera is a full-time Professor in the Department of Nursing at Curry College's School of Nursing and Health Sciences. A Curry College alumna, she earned her Diploma in Nursing from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, BS at Curry College, MSN from Boston College, and DNP from Regis College as part of its inaugural cohort.
- Board Certified in Adult Health Nursing (ANCC)
- Board Certified in Occupational Health and Case Management (ANCC)
- Certified Basic Life Support Instructor
With 28+ years of clinical nursing experience, Dr. Pinchera maintains an active practice in Occupational Health at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Her research focuses on lateral violence among nurses, mentoring dynamics in nursing education, and professional development of newly licensed nurses.
She is actively involved in national nursing organizations including:
- Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing)
- Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- American Nurses Association of Massachusetts
Dr. Pinchera serves as Traditional Undergraduate Program Coordinator in the Nursing Division, contributing to curriculum development and program leadership.
