Barbara Paré serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Voice at DePauw University's Institute of Music, specializing in vocal instruction across classical, musical theatre, and contemporary commercial styles. Certified in Somatic Voicework™ (LoVetri Method Levels 1-3), she maintains an active dual career in performance and pedagogy.
Education:
- Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, Westminster Choir College (with Lindsey Christiansen)
- Master of Music in Voice Performance, Florida State University (with Yvonne Ciannella)
Her professional focus centers on Voice Performance and Opera, informed by extensive stage experience with major companies including Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Cincinnati Opera. She integrates classical techniques with contemporary commercial music training, emphasizing somatic vocal principles through the LoVetri Method. Her performance repertoire spans orchestral collaborations (Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra), ballet productions (Cincinnati Ballet), and chamber works featured on the "Songs and Dances" compact disc.
