Barbara Mazzilli Ciraulo

Dr. Barbara Mazzilli Ciraulo is an ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Swinburne University's School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies. Her research focuses on astronomical sciences, particle and high energy physics, and space sciences, with particular expertise in galaxy evolution and interactions.

Her primary research interests include the study of double-peaked emission line galaxies, star formation processes, and quenching mechanisms in galaxies. She utilizes data from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at APO (MaNGA) survey to analyze gas and stellar properties, examining how internal processes drive galaxy evolution. Her work frequently combines optical, radio, and molecular gas observations to build comprehensive models of galaxy interactions and mergers.
