Dr. Barbara Kucinski is a Teaching Professor in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and received the Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize for Excellence in Advising in 2010.
Research examines learning processes with focus on classical/operant conditioning interactions with health behaviors. Specializes in neuropharmacological mechanisms underlying addictive substances including cocaine and morphine.
Publications demonstrate expertise in psychopharmacology and behavioral neuroscience, particularly regarding oscillatory effects of psychoactive substances on neuroendocrine systems.
