Barbara H. Haggh-Huglo is a Professor of Musicology at the University of Maryland School of Music, specializing in medieval and Renaissance Western European music, notation, and archival research. She teaches courses on Renaissance and Baroque music, seminars on music-art-architecture interplay, and music theory history.
- Research spans music manuscripts, liturgical practices, and the pipe organ in the Low Countries/France.
- Awarded Honorary Member of the American Musicological Society (2022) for outstanding contributions.

Her recent articles focus on medieval liturgical dating methods, responsory verse evolution, and the origin of 'L’homme armé'.
