Barbara Betti

Barbara Betti is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Algebra and Geometry within the Faculty of Mathematics at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg since October 2025, working under Thomas Kahle's algebra group. Previously, she completed her PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig under Simon Telen's supervision.

Her research centers on commutative algebra and numerical algebraic geometry, with a strong emphasis on computational methodologies for polynomial systems. She bridges theoretical algebra with numerical computation to develop efficient algorithms for solving complex algebraic equations, focusing on practical implementations in computational mathematics.
