Barbara Ann Barrett

Barbara Ann Barrett is a Part-Time Lecturer at the Department of People and Technology, Roskilde University, and works as a researcher at the Knowledge and Research Center for Multidisease in Region Sjælland. Her research focuses on multimorbidity, health inequality, and cross-sectoral healthcare collaboration.

Her research applies qualitative methods and user involvement to address healthcare disparities. Recent projects include the EU Interreg NorDigHealth initiative and evaluations of patient-centered care models for multimorbid patients. Publications highlight eHealth literacy, social class impacts on care access, and stratification tools for elderly patients.

She has contributed to 19 publications since 2009, emphasizing integrated care, chronic disease management, and clinical standardization. Barbara has served as an editor for Tidsskriftet Antropologi and peer reviewer for journals like Health and Kvinder, Køn & Forskning.

Current projects include CIM2 (Complex interventions for multimorbidity) and Stratification tools for integrated elderly care. She has led courses on critical medical literature reading and multimorbidity since 2012.
