Dr. Barb Fornssler is an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan, serving as Director of the Substance Use Health and Wellbeing Certificate Program and the micro-credential course on Municipal Leadership in Addressing Substance Use Harms. She leads the Knowledge Translation and Exchange role at the Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Matters (CRISM) Prairie Node. Her research emphasizes harm reduction, evidence-based policy, and amplifying voices of people with lived experience of substance use. She collaborates with Indigenous knowledge keepers, policymakers, and community organizations to drive systemic change.
