Dr. Balázs Gulyás is a Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University since 2025, Professor Emeritus at Karolinska Institutet (2024), and Adjunct Professor at the Medical University of Vienna since 2000. He previously served as President of the Hungarian Research Network HUN-REN (2024) and directed the Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre at NTU (2015–2024). His academic career spans institutions in Sweden, Singapore, Austria, France, and Hungary.
His research focuses on cognitive neuroscience, translational neuroscience, and neuroimaging, with applications in neuropsychopharmacology, disease biomarkers, and neurology/psychiatry. He has pioneered advanced imaging techniques for brain disorders.
