معرفی
Professor Balázs Dóra is affiliated with the Department of Theoretical Physics at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). His research focuses on quantum many-body systems, topological matter, and non-equilibrium dynamics, with applications in spintronics and quantum technologies. He leads the Topology and Correlation MTA-BME Lendület Research Group and is the Principal Investigator of the K119442 OTKA grant.
His research explores momentum space entanglement, light-matter interactions in topological systems, and the quantum butterfly effect using out-of-time-ordered correlators (OTOCs). Key contributions include work on graphene superconductivity, Floquet topological insulators, and the Kibble-Zurek mechanism at exceptional points. His findings have been recognized with awards, including the Most Important Scientific Publication of BME (2017).
- Grants & Leadership: PI of OTKA grant K119442, head of MTA-BME Lendület Group.
- Students: Advised 6 students (PhD, MSc, BSc), including current PhD candidate Balázs Gulácsi.
- Labs/Teams: Coordinates research on topology and correlations in quantum materials.
Dr. Dóra has presented at over 20 international conferences, including the Interactions and Topology in Dirac Systems conference in Trieste (2016). His work spans theoretical frameworks for non-equilibrium quantum systems, combining analytical and numerical methods to explore topological phases and quantum chaos.
