Prof. Baltasar Beferull Lozano is a Professor and Founder/Director of the WISENET Center at the University of Agder. He holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Engineering Sciences. His research focuses on Intelligent Signal Processing and AI-enabled Wireless Networks.
He is affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Science and leads the WISENET Lab. His work is funded by NFR TOPPFORSK. He advises PhD students including Juan Diego Cardenas, Sarang Kumar, Jayant Singh, and Ravi Sharan (Bell Labs).
Research interests include signal processing, AI, wireless systems, and machine learning applications. The WISENET Center advances interdisciplinary research in these areas.
