Dr Bahman Mirheidari is a Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield, affiliated with the Speech and Hearing (SpandH) Research Group. His work focuses on computational approaches to detect neurodegenerative conditions like dementia through speech analysis. He holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield, supervised by Dr Heidi Christensen. His research integrates automatic speech recognition (ASR), conversation analysis, and machine learning to develop diagnostic tools for cognitive disorders.
