Professor Baback Yazdani serves as Executive Dean of Nottingham Business School (NBS) at Nottingham Trent University, leading it to Triple Crown accreditation (EQUIS/AACSB/AMBA) and global prominence. His career combines academic leadership with automotive industry experience, including roles at Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and PhD in Product Development from the University of Warwick, complemented by Harvard’s Leadership Program for Senior Executives.
Research focuses on sustainable mobility, lean principles in education/industry, product development strategies, and innovation management. He supervises doctoral candidates in these areas and advises CEOs globally. Leadership roles include Chair of Academy of Business in Society (ABIS), EFMD Board Member, and CABS Council Member.
