BUCCINO GIOVANNI is a Full Professor of Physiology at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, School of Medicine, Magna Graecia University in Catanzaro. He holds a Medical Degree from the University of Parma (1989), a Neurology specialization (1993), and a PhD in Neuroscience (1999). His career includes roles as a Research Fellow and Researcher at Parma University, as well as international research at Heinrich Heine University (Germany) and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Research Interests: His work focuses on the human motor system organization, mirror neuron systems, and neurorehabilitation. Recent research explores tele-rehabilitation, virtual reality applications, and embodied cognition mechanisms.
Publications: Over 100 publications highlight his contributions to motor imagery, action observation therapy, and neuroimaging studies on semantics. Recent work addresses stroke rehabilitation, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease interventions.
