معرفی
Prof. BRUNO LASSERRE is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Territory at the University of Molise, Italy. His research focuses on sustainable urban forestry, remote sensing applications, climate change impacts, and forest management. He leads projects like EUFORICC and FRESh LIFE, integrating satellite data and ecological modeling to address environmental challenges. Contact: lasserre@unimol.it
Research Interests
His work emphasizes urban afforestation strategies, biodiversity conservation in Mediterranean forests, and the role of nature-based solutions in climate resilience. He develops tools like Urban Greenprint and Canopy Height Mapper to optimize forest planning. Recent studies include real-time insect outbreak detection via PlanetScope and cost-effectiveness analyses of green infrastructure.
Grants & Projects
Key initiatives include PRIN EUFORICC (urban forest sustainability), FRESh LIFE (remote sensing in forest management), and MULTIFOR (forest responses to pollution/climate). Collaborates on Italy’s National Land Use Inventory and policy frameworks for disadvantaged regions.
Labs & Teams
Affiliated with the Central Apennines research group. Leads interdisciplinary teams combining remote sensing, ecology, and policy analysis. Active in EU-funded projects focusing on Mediterranean ecosystems and climate adaptation strategies.
