BOUZARKOUNA Imen is a researcher affiliated with INSA Rouen and CESI Rouen, France. She completed her PhD in December 2017 to July 2021, focusing on distributed real-time processing in industrial cyber-physical systems. Her research emphasizes big data applications in industry, mathematical modeling, fog computing, and IoT integration. She defended her thesis in July 2021 under the supervision of Christian Gout (INSA Rouen) and David Baudry (CESI), with a jury including experts from Grenoble Alpes, Lorraine, and INRIA. Her work bridges theoretical models with industrial implementation challenges in Industry 4.0 frameworks.
Research Interests: Her studies concentrate on optimizing fog-based architectures for logistics, cloud-fog computing integration, and overcoming industrial adoption barriers of emerging technologies. These efforts aim to enhance real-time data processing in cyber-physical systems through advanced modeling and visualization techniques.
Publications: Her recent work highlights fog computing applications in Industry 4.0 logistics (2021, 2020), challenges in industrial fog computing adoption (2018), and modeling frameworks for smart manufacturing. These contributions reflect a focus on bridging theoretical advancements with practical industrial needs.
Advising & Grants: Funded by CESI during her PhD, Imen collaborated with academic and industrial partners (LINEACT). She participated in academic outreach activities including the 2018 Doctoriales and the 2019 'My thesis in 180 seconds' competition in Le Havre.
