BENEDETTI FRANCESCO

Francesco Benedetti is a Second-level Professor of Psychiatry at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He leads the Clinical Research Group in Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital. His academic roles include heading the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychobiology Research Unit and serving as director of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. He holds qualifications in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, and is a National Scientific Qualifier for full professorship in Psychiatry (06/D5).

Education includes a Medical Degree from University of Modena (1991), specializations in Clinical Psychology (1995, University of Milan) and Psychiatry (2005, Vita-Salute San Raffaele). His research focuses on psychiatric neurosciences, neuroimaging, mood disorders, chronobiology, and neuroinflammation, with contributions to international networks like ENIGMA and MOODSTRATIFICATION.
