Prof. Bahtiyar Bakır has been a full Professor at Gazi University since 2009, serving within the Health Services Vocational School, Department of Medical Services and Techniques. He previously held faculty positions at Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (1987-2009), rising from research assistant to professor.

Research Interests
Prof. Bakır’s work spans veterinary surgery and pathology, wound healing and tissue repair, skeletal developmental disorders in Van cats, toxicology and environmental health, microalgal biotechnology, and public-health awareness studies. His surgical research covers experimental models in dogs, rabbits, sheep and cattle, investigating techniques such as fibrin glue application, antioxidant therapy for burns, and orthopedic corrections.
