Azucena Díez Suárez

Azucena Díez Suárez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra. She serves as Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at the University of Navarra Clinic (Pamplona and Madrid) since 2019.

• Graduate in Medicine and Surgery (1998), University of Navarra
• Doctor Cum Laude in Pediatrics (2004), University of Navarra
• Specialist in Pediatrics (2003) and Psychiatry (2011)
• Completed fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Her research focuses on pediatric psychiatric disorders including ADHD, eating disorders, depressive/bipolar disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. She has contributed to 10 clinical trials and over 15 publications, while supervising doctoral theses and degree projects.

Scientific recognitions include four research grants and five national/international awards. She actively teaches Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychopathology at the Faculty of Psychology.
