Azadeh Bakhtiari

Azadeh Bakhtiari is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Psychology at Ohio University, within the College of Arts and Sciences. She is affiliated with the Center for Intervention Research in Schools (CIRS) and contributes to the academic community as a member of the editorial board of the School Mental Health journal.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Psychology, Isfahan University, Iran (2022)

Her research and clinical work focus on ADHD, school-based mental health interventions, and child and adolescent psychology. She has extensive experience in developing and evaluating therapeutic programs for children and adolescents, particularly those with attention deficits. Her work integrates clinical psychology with educational settings to improve student outcomes.

Dr. Bakhtiari's recent publications reflect a strong trajectory in school mental health science, with emphasis on intervention development, neurological markers in ADHD, and mindfulness-based therapies. Her earlier work explored the intersection of mental health and physical conditions like hypertension, particularly in women, using group therapy and stress management techniques.

Teaching & Mentoring:
She has taught undergraduate courses including Psychopathology, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, and Motivation and Emotion. She mentors undergraduate students in research, fostering their academic and professional growth.
