Ayşe Şentürer

Professor Ayşe Şentürer is a faculty member at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. She holds a PhD in Architecture from Istanbul Technical University and has been actively contributing to architectural theory, design, and criticism since 1985.

Her research focuses on Aesthetics in Architecture, Architectural Design, and Theory in Architecture, with particular emphasis on spatial relationships, public space dynamics, and speculative design practices. Recent works explore collective metabolisms, posthuman ecosystems, and power dynamics in architectural education.

Key project themes include creative and speculative near-future projections in architectural design (2019-2020), space folds (2016-2017), and BAP-funded research (2011-2021). Her 2025 publications analyze hybrid ecosystems and soft operation fields in design studios.
