Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe YILMAZ is a faculty member at Kastamonu University's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. She has been serving as an Associate Professor (Doçent) since 2023 and previously held the position of Doctor Teaching Member (similar to Assistant Professor) from 2022-2023. Additionally, she serves as the Administrative Responsible Physician at Kastamonu University since 2023.
Dr. YILMAZ completed her medical education at Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine (1995-2001) and specialized in Surgical Medical Sciences at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (2006-2010). She is an active member of the Turkish Anesthesiology and Reanimation Association (since 2022) and the Turkish Intensive Care Association (since 2014).
Her primary research interests focus on anesthesiology, reanimation, intensive care medicine, and critical care, with particular emphasis on geriatric critical care, pain management, and infectious disease management in critical settings. Her work frequently addresses biomarker applications, nutritional assessment in critical patients, and innovative approaches to pain management and critical care interventions.
Dr. YILMAZ has published extensively with 90 total publications according to institutional metrics, including 48 journal articles, 33 conference papers, 1 book, and 8 book chapters. Her recent work shows a strong focus on critical care applications during the pandemic, geriatric critical care, and innovative anesthesia techniques.
