Ayung Tseng is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at UC Davis. Her research examines accounting information production, corporate disclosure practices, and how accounting data informs investor decision-making. Tseng holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and an MBA from Yale.
She studies accounting as a 'language of business,' analyzing how regulations and practices shape financial communication globally. Her work has implications for SEC, FASB, and IASB standards.
Tseng co-founded the Accounting Design Project workshop series and Japan Accounting Research Symposium to bridge academia and practice. She teaches Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis.
Her publications in The Accounting Review and Management Science explore revenue recognition, asset pricing, and systematic risk measurement.
