Ayse Kivilcim Coskun is a Full Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University, where she also serves as interim Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Development at the College of Engineering. She earned her PhD from UC San Diego's Computer Science and Engineering Department in 2009. Her research spans design automation, computer architecture, and embedded systems, with specialization in energy efficiency, thermal management, and ML-driven analytics for system optimization.
Current research focuses on:
- Energy-efficient systems using 3D-stacking, photonic networks, and advanced cooling
- ML applications for cloud/HPC performance enhancement
- Data center sustainability through smart grid integration
