Axel Schulte

Axel Schulte is a Professor in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Bundeswehr University Munich, holding the Professorship for Flight Mechanics and Flight Guidance since 2002. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering from 2016 to 2020 and was a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2010.

• Diploma in Aerospace Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., 1990)

His research focuses on Flight Mechanics, Flight Guidance, and integration of Automation Systems in aerospace contexts. Additional interests include System Dynamics, Information Processing, and Avionics, reflecting his roles in technical committees and NATO panels.
