Axel Leijonhufvud (1933–2022) was an Honorary Professor at the University of Trento and former Professor of Economics at UCLA. He specialized in monetary economics, Keynesian theory, and high inflation dynamics. Educated at Lund University (B.A.), University of Pittsburgh (M.A.), and Northwestern University (Ph.D.), his career spanned academic leadership, policy advising, and international collaborations.
