He concurrently holds an Honorary Lecturer position at Imperial College London's Department of Life Sciences (Silwood Park), where he directs the Mouse Project. His research integrates ecology, behaviour, physiology, and genetics to study phenotypic and life-history traits in mammals, focusing on rodents, ungulates, and carnivores.
Education:
- Ph.D. from the Natural History Museum in Madrid (CSIC)
Research Interests: Evolutionary ecology, inbreeding consequences, long-term field studies on mammal populations, phenotypic trait variation, and individual life trajectories. His work bridges ecological and evolutionary processes to understand population dynamics under global change.
Awards & Fellowships:
- Senior Ramon y Cajal Researcher
- Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow
- Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow
Academic Roles: Formerly a Departmental Lecturer at Oxford University, Examiner of Ecology and Evolution at Oxford's Zoology Department, and part of Oxford's Undergraduate Admissions team.
