Audrey Teh is a Lecturer in Molecular Immunology at the Infection and Immunity Research Institute, St. George's, University of London. Her research focuses on leveraging plants as a cost-effective platform for producing therapeutics and vaccines targeting cancer and infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on accessibility for low- to middle-income countries. She leads projects in plant-made recombinant pharmaceuticals and was awarded the 2024 UK Academy of Medical Sciences Springboard Award for her work on protein and sugar structures in cancer immune checkpoint inhibitors.
Education:
- PhD from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
- Post-doctoral research with Prof. Julian Ma’s group (pioneer in plant-based antibody production)
