Dr. Audrey P. Wang is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Health at the University of Sydney's School of Medical Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She holds dual roles as Program Director for Graduate Studies in Digital Health and Data Science, and Group Lead for the Digital Health Innovation (Collaborative) Lab. Her work focuses on transdisciplinary approaches to improve healthcare equity through emerging technologies and health informatics. She is also a Westmead Early Career Research Fellow and Emerging Technology Lead at the Western Sydney Local Health District.
Education: BPhysiotherapy (New Zealand), MSc in Applied Biomechanics (UK), PhD in Neuroscience from Neuroscience Research Australia and UNSW. Her research integrates implementation science with digital health transformation, including IoT systems, clinical informatics, and behavioral change strategies. Current projects include hospital-acquired complication prevention, sepsis management, and virtual hospital navigation.
Research themes include health informatics, translational research, and pain management. She leads collaborative initiatives with industry partners like the Digital Health CRC and NSW Health agencies. Awards include the 2021 Australian IoT Awards Health Award and Fellowships from the Higher Education Academy and Australian Institute of Digital Health.
Teaching responsibilities include the Digital Health Essentials micro-credential and master's programs. Supervision opportunities exist in IoT healthcare systems and behavioral compliance in digital health contexts. Grants include projects on predictive informatics for pressure injuries (2022) and personalized dietary recommendations (2020).
