Audra Schwalk

Audra Schwalk, M.D., M.B.A., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She specializes in advanced diagnostic/therapeutic bronchoscopy, pleural diseases, and central airway obstruction management. Dr. Schwalk earned her M.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, completed residencies/fellowships in internal medicine and pulmonary/critical care, and holds an M.B.A. from Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business. She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine, joining UT Southwestern in 2020.

Her work combines clinical innovation with cutting-edge technologies like endobronchial ultrasound-guided nanoparticles and miniature stent development.

Publications: Recent work spans stent innovations for bronchial stenosis, radio-enhancing nanoparticle applications, and critical care case studies. Themes include interventional pulmonology advancements, pleural disease management, and translational research in thoracic oncology.
