Aubrey Jackson Soller

Aubrey Jackson Soller is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), with an affiliate appointment in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. She serves as Associate Chair of her department and Associate Director of the Center for Social Science Scholarship (CS3).

Research Interests: Dr. Soller’s work explores intersections of neighborhoods, crime, and health; law & society; gender stratification; and political sociology. Her scholarship connects structural inequalities to individual wellbeing, emphasizing gendered experiences in legally cynical and violent contexts.

Publication Trends: Her recent articles analyze the gendered ecology of violence, reproductive rights policy, legal cynicism, and neighborhood impacts on health and behavior. Themes span criminology, gender studies, urban sociology, and public health, often integrating spatial and network methodologies.
