Professor Atanu Chaudhuri holds the rank of Professor in Technology & Operations Management at Durham University Business School. He is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study and a Fellow of the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing. With 9 years of industrial experience in manufacturing and consulting, he has worked with organizations such as Tata Motors and Deloitte Research. His academic journey includes roles at IIM Lucknow and Aalborg University, where he received the Best Teacher Award in 2017.
His research focuses on digital manufacturing (particularly additive manufacturing), supply chain risk management, and integration. Notable projects include leading the Digital Supply Chain working group of Mobility goes Additive and exploring predictive analytics for spare parts planning. He has secured funding from UK-India Education and Research Initiative, Danish agencies, and TÜBİTAK.
Dr. Chaudhuri’s publications span journals like International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Transportation Research: Part E. He currently serves as a Senior Associate Editor for International Journal of Logistics Management.
Education: PhD in Technology & Operations Management from IIM Lucknow (focused on commercial vehicle supply chains) and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University.
