Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot

Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot is a Senior Lecturer and FNRS research associate at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), affiliated with the Department of Anthropology. She co-coordinates the Erasmus Mundus Master's program 'Transnational migrations' (MITRA) and serves as vice president of the Ethics Committee within the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences. Additionally, she contributes to the editorial boards of Civilisations (anthropology/human sciences) and Sextant (women and gender studies).

Her research focuses on Belgian-Asian couples (BelMix project) and decision-making processes among aspiring Asian migrants to/remigrants within the European Union (AspirE project). She recently co-edited the volume Tangled mobilities: Places, affects, and personhoods across social spheres in Asian migration (2022) with Gracia Liu-Farrer.
