Asun Rodríguez is a Research Fellow at the Conservation Research Institute, University of Cambridge. Her work focuses on long-term recovery trajectories of forest ecosystems after anthropogenic impacts, particularly post-agricultural forests, aiming to enhance restoration practices for global change resilience.
- Previous Positions: Research Assistant at Basque Centre for Climate Change (2021-2022), Ph.D. student at Basque Centre for Climate Change (2016-2021), Research Assistant at University of Alcalá (2016).
- Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biodiversity, Functioning and Management of Ecosystems (2021, University of the Basque Country), M.Sc. in Ecosystem Restoration (2015, University of Alcalá), B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences (2013, Autonomous University of Madrid).
She leads a global network studying biotic interactions in restored forests and is affiliated with the Forest Ecology and Conservation research group. Her scientific awards include the Royal Society-Newton International Fellowship.
