Astrid Marinoni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy and Innovation at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research lies at the intersection of regional entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial policy, and strategic management, with a focus on how location, immigration, and innovation shape entrepreneurial outcomes.
Her research interests include:
- Immigrant entrepreneurship
- Regional entrepreneurship and economic geography
- The societal consequences of entrepreneurial activity
- The role of location in startup entry and success
- Economics of innovation
Astrid's scholarly work has been published in leading journals such as Management Science, Organization Science, and Journal of Economic Growth. Her research demonstrates a strong emphasis on empirical analysis of policy-relevant entrepreneurial phenomena, particularly how regional ecosystems and demographic factors influence innovation and firm performance.
