Asmus Heumann

Asmus Heumann is a Professor and Managing Senior Physician at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), affiliated with the Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hamburg. His roles include Medical Specialist in Visceral Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He focuses on advanced surgical techniques, pancreatic and hepatic malignancies, and translational research in oncological outcomes. His research emphasizes surgical innovation, postoperative management, and immunological mechanisms in cancer metastasis.

Research interests include pancreatic surgery outcomes, liver metastasis biology, and the application of synthetic sealants in surgical procedures.
