Asma Nacer, a PhD candidate affiliated with the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, specializes in Microbiology and Plant Sciences. Her research examines the biological activity of microbial communities in medicinal plants and agricultural systems, particularly focusing on endophytic and rhizospheric bacteria in Algerian flora.
Her recent work investigates Streptomyces and Actinobacteria associated with Artemisia herba-alba and barley genotypes, analyzing their role in plant growth promotion under saline conditions. She also explores lichen diversity and pre-germination treatments for native Acacia species.
Research Output Highlights:
- Endophytic Actinobacteria from Artemisia herba-alba (2024).
- Streptomyces and Klebsiella interactions with Phragmites communis and Acacia species (2022-2017).
- Microbiome responses to salt stress in barley (2022).
Her collaborations span international institutions, with a focus on molecular plant-microbe interactions and environmental microbiology.
