Dr. Asma Al-Hawi is a Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Acquisition from UCLan (2020) and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Jordan (2009). Her research focuses on second/third language acquisition, pragmatics, semantics, and educational psychology, particularly examining English determiner acquisition among Palestinian/Jordanian and Cypriot-Greek speakers.
