Professor Asli Ascioglu is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Finance at Bryant University’s College of Business. She has been a key figure in shaping the finance curriculum and experiential learning programs, including the Financial Markets Center and the Archway Investment Fund. Her leadership roles include serving as Finance Department Chair (2019–2023) and Coordinator of the C.V. Starr Financial Markets Center.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Finance from the University of Memphis, an MS from Texas Tech University, and a BS from Middle East Technical University in Turkey.
Professor Ascioglu’s research centers on market microstructure, investment strategies, and the integration of ESG factors in finance. Her recent work emphasizes sustainable investing, ESG index exposures, and the development of sustainable student-managed funds. She has published in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Review of Financial Economics.
Her recent publications reflect a strong trend toward sustainable and impact investing, with increasing focus on ESG integration, corporate sustainability reporting, and experiential ESG education. She also contributes to pedagogical literature through teaching cases on sustainable finance.
