Ashwini Pandey is an Assistant Professor at Augusta University, jointly appointed in the Department of Community & Behavioral Health Sciences at the School of Public Health and the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from Georgia State University and is actively contributing to research and teaching in public health, behavioral sciences, and child protection.
Her research focuses on critical public health issues including child marriage, adolescent health, maternal health, child maltreatment, and health disparities. She employs epidemiological and qualitative methods to investigate social determinants of health and evaluate interventions in both U.S. and global contexts.
Dr. Pandey's recent publications in 2024 reveal a strong trend in examining the long-term health impacts of early-life adversities such as child marriage and child maltreatment, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Her work increasingly integrates digital health tools, particularly mobile applications, into intervention frameworks for vulnerable populations.

Dr. Pandey is actively involved in academic service, serving as Chair of the MPH Student Admissions and Internship Committees, and as a member of the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs Search Committee and the School of Public Health Pilot Grants Program Committee. She also contributes to professional service as Secretary of the Mental Health Section of the American Public Health Association and as a reviewer for journals including Child Abuse and Neglect and Journal of Interpersonal Violence.
She teaches courses such as MPHC 8722 (Internship), CURS 2990 (Undergrad Research I), and MPHM 8998 (Extended Capstone), demonstrating her commitment to student mentorship and experiential learning.
