Ashlyn M. Blair is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Communication and Film at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus in Jackson, TN. She teaches courses in oral and interpersonal communication, with research interests spanning public speaking education, instructional communication, and the intersection of communication with public memory and regional identity. Blair returned to her hometown of Jackson in 2024 to join the faculty at the Lambuth Campus after completing her M.A. (2020) and B.A. (2017) in Communication from the University of Memphis.
Her prior research examined the National Civil Rights Museum, rhetorical performance, and the role of place in communication studies. She holds office hours at 200A Vernell Jones Hall (Lambuth Campus) and can be reached via email for scheduling.
