Ashlie Boelkins

Ashlie Boelkins serves as Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator for the Master of Architecture program at the School of Architecture and Design, University of Louisiana – Lafayette. She is founding principal of ARCH&also and holds key roles as Internship Exchange Experience (IEXX) coordinator and NCARB Licensing Advisor.

Her research expands architectural boundaries through multi-scalar projects spanning master planning in underserved communities to residential works and performance-based installations. She actively explores intersections between architecture, dance, and interdisciplinary art, driving both academic inquiry and practical applications through service-learning initiatives.

Major recognitions include:

• New Faculty Teaching Award from ACSA (2018)
• AIA Young Architect Award (2019)
• UL Lafayette Outstanding Mentor (2021)

As long-term Faculty Advisor to AIAS (8 years), current Graduate Council representative for the College of the Arts, and member of the Graduate Student Appeals Committee, she demonstrates deep commitment to student mentorship and academic governance. Her advocacy extends to local, regional, and national professional organizations including AIA Louisiana.
