Ashley Laughney is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Dana Pe'er Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), co-mentored by Joan Massagué. Her research focuses on integrating computational methods with experimental biology, particularly in genomics and systems biology. She holds a PhD in Quantitative Imaging from Dartmouth College and a BS in Biological Physics from the University of Vermont.
Education:
- PhD, Dartmouth College (Quantitative Imaging)
- BS, University of Vermont (Biological Physics)
Research Interests: Dr. Laughney’s work spans computational genomics, single-cell analysis, and the application of quantitative imaging techniques to study cellular systems. She develops algorithms to decode complex biological datasets, with a focus on cancer biology and systems-level understanding of disease mechanisms.
Awards:
- Burroughs Welcome Fund Career Award for Science Innovators (CASI) - 2016
Labs/Teams: She is part of the Dana Pe'er Lab, which pioneers computational approaches to genomic and single-cell data analysis. The lab actively seeks students and postdoctoral researchers to join ongoing projects.
